Taran Evans
Founder, Director & Lead GuideWith a deep love for nature, community, and child-led learning, Taran was drawn to Montessori education and has worked in Montessori environments since 2018. She received her Montessori Primary certification from Hope Montessori Educational Institute in 2021 and has been guiding children through their early years ever since.
Over the years, Taran has held a variety of roles within Montessori schools, giving her a strong, well-rounded understanding of the prepared environment and the many elements that support meaningful learning. Each experience reinforced her belief that children, guides, families, and environment work together to create a thriving community.
Oak and Acorn Montessori was created out of a desire to offer a thoughtful, connected space for children and families. This work reflects what Taran knows, values, and has felt called to do for as long as she can remember - and she is deeply grateful to build this community alongside the families it serves.
Lead GuideMichelle Adams
Michelle brings over 14 years of experience in Montessori education to Oak and Acorn. She is Montessori-certified at the Lower Elementary level and has served as a lead guide and school director, bringing both depth and leadership to our community.
After years of working with older children, Michelle has been continually inspired by the curiosity, independence, and capability of the primary-age students. Her nurturing presence, thoughtful guidance, and genuine joy in the classroom make her a treasured part of Oak and Acorn.
